Høgnorsk is an unofficial norm for writing Norwegian, and a conservative version of Nynorsk. Høgnorsk has kept most of the original spelling differences between Nynorsk and the majority Norwegian language, Bokmål, which were removed in a series of spelling reforms after 1917.
